    • Ashleigh Maxey says:

Thank you, Michelle! It’s so important to me that parents know what to look for and are educated on baby safety during the session!

  2. Carla Lehman says:

The behind the scenes is so important. I can remember a client telling me the photographer set this pose up, then walked away and made the shot without someone holding the baby in place, or even having a spotter. So dangerous. Thank you for educating parents and photographers on how to safely execute this pose.

    • Ashleigh Maxey says:

That is so scary, Carla! I cannot imagine leaving baby unattended in such a fragile state. I hope that parents are becoming more educated on this pose and the safety considerations for it!

  3. Brandi says:

I love that you are educating parents on how to safely achieve this pose. New parents don’t know what to look for and this is a great resource for them to be able to look at before their session. So many photographers don’t do this pose correctly and can put babies in danger!

    • Ashleigh Maxey says:

Thank you, Brandi! My goal is to educate more parents so babies aren’t injured in this pose! Unfortunately it does happen.

  4. Jodi Major says:

So important to let people know that newborn poses don’t just happen with these pliable little bodies. They are so delicate and fragile. Thanks for sharing these newborn photography poses and safety tips.
