Ideas for Newborn Boy Photos | Greyson’s Newborn Session

Are you a new parent to a precious baby boy? Congratulations! Now it’s time to capture those adorable moments with some memorable newborn boy photos. The possibilities are endless when it comes to capturing the innocence and sweetness of your little guy. Below are some ideas for newborn boy photos from Greyson’s recent newborn session!

BABY BOY IN BLUE

In this first set, we started with baby Greyson swaddled from head to toe in a navy waffle knit swaddle. He was posed gently on my Luneberry flokati in the color Blue Jeans. He sleeps so peacefully with his tiny hand tucked just beneath his chin.

NEWBORN BOY PHOTOS WITH WOODEN PROPS

For our second set, baby Greyson was sleeping so peacefully. He allowed me to change his swaddle, take out his sweet little legs and pose him in this adorable bowl prop. The wood of the bowl complements the wood floor perfectly. Greenery is a fantastic addition for newborn boy photos, so we added some around the bowl to emphasize Greyson even more! Look at those adorable baby feet!

Because he was sleeping so peacefully, we transitioned Greyson to a bucket pose with his chin on his hands. He handled this pose beautifully and slept peacefully right through it! We also decided to add in a different touch of greenery for this pose for added variety. I cannot get over his little back rolls!

(Please note: this pose should be done with a spotter – an assistant or parent – sitting close by just in case baby startles.)

BABY BOY PHOTOS ON A BED

One of my most requested props is the Homestead Bed from Hello Little Props. This bronze metal bed is sturdy but absolutely adorable and perfect for girls or boys! We laid baby Greyson belly down and posed his hands under his cheek for the perfect sleeping pose.

During these poses I like to keep baby’s diapers on unless absolutely necessary. Sweet Greyson was actually wearing his diaper under the fabric used to cover his lower half!

SIMPLE & NEUTRAL NEWBORN BOY PHOTOS

Sweet baby Greyson continued to sleep so peacefully throughout his poses, so we decided to just keep moving right along! We decided to go with a more simple, timeless look for his last set of photos with this white backdrop and swaddle set. I just adored how sweet and curled up he was in this set! He definitely made my job easy!
