I have one rule in the studio: baby is in charge. They're little people too, and sometimes they have big opinions! If baby isn't happy with a particular pose, we will readjust and modify so they're comfortable at all times!

If you decide we're a match, I'll send over the booking forms and your session will officially be booked! Yay!!
During the time leading up to your session we will work together to design the PERFECT session which will result in stunning final portraits.
Once you inquire, I'll give you a phone call to discuss your ideal session, your portrait needs and the vision you have in mind for your session.
It's time! The day we've planned for! All I need from you is to sit back, relax and enjoy the moments while my team and I work to make your session dreams come true!
When the images are done, we will meet again for the grand reveal! You'll see your final images, browse our incredible products and have the opportunity to order your favorites to keep forever.
A few weeks after your order is placed, I'll receive the items and inspect them for quality. Once I know they're absolutely perfect, I'll package them up and contact you to arrange pick up!

frequently asked questions
Photos by Ashleigh only takes a small number of newborn sessions per month - 4 to be exact - which means our schedule fills up FAST. In order to ensure there is a spot open when your baby is born, I recommend getting on our schedule between 28 and 36 weeks of your pregnancy. This gives us plenty of time to design and plan your perfect session without rushing or panicking!
01. when should i plan to book my newborn session?
The short answer? We don't. After your consultation, you'll select your session experience, sign the contract and pay the booking fee to reserve your due date on the calendar. This is not a scheduled session - rather just a placeholder while we wait for baby.
Once baby is born, I'll have you text or call the studio to let us know, and to schedule the actual session!
02. how do we schedule a newborn session if baby isn't born yet?
Absolutely NOT! All clients who have reserved their due date on my calendar during their pregnancy are guaranteed a session once their baby is born - regardless if baby comes early or late. Your reservation is just a placeholder, and we will schedule a solid date once baby has arrived and you've had time to adjust to newborn life!
03. what if my baby is born early, or past my due date? do i give up my session?
Newborns should be photographed between 7 and 21 days after birth, ideally. However certain circumstances can change this timeline, such as a NICU stay, micro-premie birth, or if baby needs to be seen by a specialist such as a chiropractor, pediatric dentist or ENT.
04. how old should my baby be when we take photos?
I always tell clients that the most important part of the session is that they look and feel comfortable in what they choose to wear. One of my favorite things to offer my clients is a specially curated Studio Wardrobe, full of stunning gowns, little girl dresses and little boy outfits to choose from!
Please note - our wardrobe inventory is constantly changing and not all of our gowns are featured on the website. Clients are always welcome to come in and try our pieces on before their session!
05. what should i wear to our newborn session?
My studio is fully stocked with everything we need to create the perfect session, and there is no obligation to bring any extra items to your session. If you have something special - such as a family heirloom or special blanket - you are more than welcome to bring that!

A few weeks after your session, we’ll meet together for your in-person ordering appointment — one of the most meaningful parts of the entire experience. Rather than scrolling through images alone on a screen, you’ll see your portraits beautifully presented for the first time and have the opportunity to choose how you want these memories preserved in your home and your family’s story. I’ll guide you through custom artwork options including handcrafted albums, matted folio boxes, framed wall art, canvas and metal prints, gift prints for loved ones, and digital image collections. Together, we’ll create something intentional and lasting so your photographs become more than files on a computer — they become part of your everyday life.
